International designer chooses new WA store to launch his new lighting range

Nov-05-2015 Jamie Durie's signature lighting range, available at The Furniture Gallery

Award winning designer, Jamie Durie, has chosen to launch his brand new lighting range at Western Australia’s newest premier interior store, The Furniture Gallery, and to support the exclusive launch he will appear at the Osborne Park store on Saturday, 14th November 2015.

The elegant interior lighting collection, named ‘Bolo and Sputnik’, was designed by the television personality Jamie Durie and will be exclusively stocked at The Furniture Gallery’s three Perth stores.

“The range is constructed from mixed organic materials such as warm brass, soulful timber and cool concrete. This fusion of both glamour and grit is carried throughout the collection and exemplifies raw luxury,” explains Jamie.

‘When I was approached by The Furniture Gallery, I saw what they were doing in WA with their new stores and knew I wanted to be part of it. So it made absolute sense to launch my new lighting range with them as they really reflect our strong sense of style at an affordable price,” he continues.

Jamie, alongside his team at Durie Design, has received over 30 international design awards. Credited with changing the face of landscape design, Jamie’s new lighting venture is sure to set a new trend in the world of interior lighting.

The Furniture Gallery General Manager, Chrissy Palmer, says, “Securing the exclusive Jamie Durie lighting range was obviously a real feather in our cap, as it confirms our stores have created a new level for WA interiors. Jamie’s range is exquisite, yet reasonably priced, which supports our vision of providing high-end interiors, which are accessible to everyone.”

Jamie Durie will make his personal appearance at The Furniture Gallery’s newly opened flagship, 415 Scarborough Beach Rd, Osborne Park on Saturday 14 November, between 11am to 2pm, where he will present his new range, talk about his inspirations and the concepts behind his designs, and, of course, meet and greet his Perth friends.
