The Next Chapter Begins: Introducing Claremont

This Saturday 30th August, a new chapter begins.

We’re proud to open our newest boutique showroom in the heart of Claremont — a carefully curated space that redefines the furniture retail experience in Western Australia. More than a store, Claremont is an invitation: to step inside, to slow down, and to discover how thoughtful design can transform not only your home, but how you live in it.

From the immersive experience of Osborne Park to the expansive Joondalup destination, each of our showrooms offer something unique. Claremont continues this vision — in a more boutique, highly curated form that speaks directly to its community.

A Showroom Designed to Inspire

Designed by renowned interior architect Bryan Ho, our new Claremont boutique redefines the furniture retail experience — immersive, inviting, and thoughtfully considered at every turn.

Here, global design meets local craftsmanship, with a curated edit of pieces from celebrated Australian brands and artists — from CULTIVER and Saardé, to bespoke art canvases and handcrafted ceramics.

Claremont is not a typical furniture store — nor does it try to be. Instead, it’s an experience-led space that invites you to explore thoughtfully styled vignettes, each designed to feel like a real home. The intent is clear: to inspire you to imagine whole spaces, not just singular pieces.

“We don’t just sell furniture,” says our design team. “We curate immersive environments. Everything is considered — from materiality and lighting to how the space makes you feel.”

Our Claremont store has also been designed to reflect its surroundings, incorporating elements that speak to the Western Suburbs’ modern sensibility and understated sophistication. Unique to this location is our Artists in Residence collection, launching with work by local ceramicist Victoria Paxton, whose tactile forms echo the natural textures that define the store’s aesthetic.

Bringing Accessible Premium to Life

At the core of our philosophy is a concept we call accessible premium — design that’s aspirational, elevated, and highly considered, without the sense of exclusivity often found in high-end retail. This is luxury with approachability. Style without the intimidation.

You’ll see this philosophy expressed in everything from the store’s layout to the product range: timeless modern forms, layered neutrals, and natural materials that reflect the interiors trends of today — while remaining enduring.

“We believe premium design shouldn’t feel unattainable,” our design team explains. “It should feel curated, refined, and within reach.”

A Community-Rooted Approach

Claremont also marks an important step in our broader vision: to become even more embedded in the communities we serve.

This means championing locally designed and locally made furniture — including our West Australian Marri timber collections — and engaging with local artists and makers. It’s a commitment not only to style, but to sustainability and social impact.

One example is Somic, a hand and beauty brand crafted right here in Claremont by previously disadvantaged women. Their beautiful, thoughtful products sit proudly alongside our homewares offering — reminding us that every detail can have meaning.

“We want our showrooms to feel like they belong to their communities,” our team shares. “Each space is a reflection of the people, the landscape, and the lifestyle around it.”

Looking Ahead: Where Design Meets Lifestyle

Claremont signals the beginning of an exciting new phase for The Furniture Gallery. With new locations on the horizon, expanded interior design services, deeper digital integration, and our own in-house furniture design in development — we’re just getting started.

Whether you visit us in-store or online, our mission remains the same: to help you create a home that feels good — not just looks good. A space that reflects your lifestyle, your values, and the way you want to live.

Customers today are seeking more than just a product. They want an experience. And we’re proud to meet that moment — with curated collections, interior expertise, white-glove delivery, and a service model that’s focused on ease, inspiration, and lasting connection.

Designing for the Way You Really Live

So what kind of home do we help you create?

A space defined by natural textures, thoughtful materials, and pieces that are made to last. Think sanctuary over showpiece. Practical beauty. Modern living, softened by soul.

Our design language is grounded in tactile finishes, timeless silhouettes, and furniture that supports real life — whether that’s a family gathering around a Marri dining table, a quiet morning in bed with CULTIVER linen, or a moment of pause beside a ceramic sculpture that simply feels like home.
